Dear Birthparent,
From personal experience, we know that adoption is a blessing to everyone involved: The birth family, the adoptive family, and most importantly the child. We admire you for taking the difficult steps to do what you feel is best for your baby. We will never begin to understand how hard of a decision this has been for you, but we do know that your choice was made out of love for your child and because of this, we have so much appreciation and respect for you. We hope and pray that you find peace with your decision.
We have struggled with infertility for three years, and while we have experienced disappointment, we are excited that God's plan for us is to adopt our children and raise them in a safe and loving home. Our family and friends are thrilled about our decision to adopt and are eager to meet our first child. We have experienced the many blessings of adoption first-hand, as three of our nieces and nephews were adopted and several of our friends have adopted children as well. Any child that we adopt will have the benefit of having friends and cousins that were adopted also.

About Us
We met 14 years ago during our freshman year in college when Kevin came to Kristy's "rescue" after her car broke down. We hit it off from the start and became best friends before we started dating. We have now been married for 10 years and marriage has taught us that there is great fulfillment in putting each other's needs before our own.
As a couple, we enjoy following our favorite sports teams (Go Pistons!), playing basketball, leading our church youth group, watching old movies, and taking weekend trips to our favorite vacation spots. We are a Christian couple and are very involved with our church.
About Kevin (written by Kristy)
Kevin has a great sense of humor and has lots of energy. He has so many qualities that will make him a great father. He is the most thoughtful and generous person I know and he is smart, creative, patient, sensitive to others' feelings, and a good listener. He is a hard worker and enjoys his career as a software engineer.
Kevin loves playing with our little nieces and nephews. They think he's hilarious when he makes up silly songs (with sound effects of course), makes up games to play in the car, or chases them as he pretends to be a tickle monster. I can't wait to see him be goofy with our kids and make them laugh too.
Kevin is a wonderful husband. He has always gone out of his way to show me how much he loves me—whether it's by writing poems, buying flowers, or just calling me at work to see how my day is going and say "I love you." I love spending time with him and can't imagine life without him.
About Kristy (written by Kevin)
Kristy is an affectionate person and a day never goes by where she does not remind me in both word and action that she loves me. She especially has a heart for children. It is fun to see the excitement of our nieces and nephews when she spends time with them playing make believe, reading stories, or baking and decorating cookies. She also shows her heart through the time she spends with the United Way to tutor schoolchildren.
Kristy was born as a twin into a loving Christian family. She was raised in a close-knit community in farm country. Her family owned a dairy farm and she learned the value of hard work at an early age. She is also conscientious, unfailingly patient and she has a compassionate heart. All these qualities have served her well, enabling her to be a great student, a model employee and an incredible wife. She is well respected and appreciated by all her friends and family.
Though Kristy enjoys her job as an administrative assistant, she is eager to dedicate herself to a stay-at-home role where she can love and raise our child. She will be an exceptional mom.
Our Home
We live in a ranch style house on a cul-de-sac street. Our subdivision is quiet and has very little traffic. We have lived in our home since the fall of 2006 and love our neighborhood. It is very family-oriented, with kids shooting hoops, riding bikes, and playing football at each other's houses. There are soccer fields that are a short walk away. We have several neighbors that have infants and preschool children and we're looking forward to seeing our child become friends with them.
Our house has three bedrooms and two bathrooms on the main floor. The basement has a family room, a rec room, a bathroom, and another area that will make a great play room for our kids.
Our Family
We have close relationships with and live near both sides of our family. Kevin's parents have been married for 37 years. They have five children (Kevin is the oldest) and two grandchildren. Kristy's parents have been married for 43 years. They have four children and eight grandchildren, three of which are adopted. Kristy has a twin sister, an older sister, and an older brother. The family of one of her cousins includes two daughters that were adopted with the help of Adoption Associates.
God has blessed us with a wonderful, loving and supportive family that can't wait to welcome the newest addition into their lives.
