Ben & Marisella
Dear Birthmother,
We want to thank you for looking at our profile and for considering adoption for your child. You are truly a blessing to us, as we cannot have a child due to infertility. We have been married for four years and believe that adoption is the path that God wants us to take. We believe that God will lead the right birthmother into our lives and the right child for us to adopt and start a family. We are very excited to be parents and to share our life with a little one. We have a very supportive family with many nephews and nieces to love, but have been eagerly waiting to become parents.
Our Story
We grew up in Ohio and now live in Michigan. Marisella has a twin brother and an older brother and sister, and Ben has a younger sister. We both have many cousins scattered around the United States and abroad. Marisella has Italian parents, and as a child did a lot of traveling to Italy to visit family and still does to this day. She truly stays close to her Italian roots. Ben is German and Irish, and was raised on a 100 acre farm. He always had many relatives nearby and has many good memories of working on the farm with his father, grandfather and cousins. We still visit the farm often, and we think it will be a great place for a child to run, play, and ride the four-wheeler that his family owns. Marisella was raised in a Catholic Church and Ben was raised in a Baptist Church. We both strongly believe in God and plan to teach our child about religion and our beliefs.
We met on the job and continue to work every day together. We enjoy each other’s company during work and at home. We enjoy having dinner together, walking our little dog, Kiwi, and watching the same shows on television. Most importantly we are best friends who love each other. We have built a solid marriage through communication and being there for one another.
We also enjoy spending time with family and friends on the weekends. We watch movies and play games such as Guitar Hero, Wii bowling and yard games such as “Cornhole”. We love to entertain, especially because Marisella LOVES to cook and bake for others. Ben also enjoys working around the house creating new projects out of wood and fixing things.
Where We Live
We live in a cozy house in a suburban community. Our home is very close to a large common area that will be great for playing. In the summertime, we enjoy barbecues on the patio with friends and family. We live across the street from an elementary school which is in one of the best school systems in the area. In close proximity to our house are parks and other outside recreational activities, such as Putt-Putt and Go-Karts.
About Ben & Marisella
We both love to travel! As children we traveled with our parents, and would like to share that experience with a child. Ben grew up going on road trips with his family seeing the National Parks such as Grand Canyon and Yellowstone, while Marisella grew up traveling throughout Italy. We have been all over the world on personal vacations and would love to share these experiences with a child.
We love to be active. We enjoy physical fitness indoors and outdoors. We enjoy working out together in a gym, taking long walks, hiking, camping, biking and kayaking in the summer time. In the winter, we love to travel to Florida where we have a family house to escape some of the cold up north. Our Florida home is in a very nice community that is close to the beach. We would love to build sandcastles and teach a child how to swim. Ben grew up enjoying the winters because he loved to sled. As an adult he has taken up skiing and would like to share his love for winter activities, along with making snowmen and snow angels, with a child.
We are both employed as investigators. Marisella is a diligent, hardworking and dedicated person at her job, but looks forward to redirecting her focus and dedication to a child by being a full time mother. Ben is also a reliable, devoted and conscientious person at his job. He takes these traits back home to his family. We are committed to the decision of having Marisella stay home to raise our child and provide the love and support that is necessary.
Our Promise
We will speak openly about adoption in our home making sure your child knows about you and the loving decision you made in choosing adoption. We welcome an open relationship with you. We promise to give your child a home full of love, laughter, and kindness.
We look forward to the everyday life of having a child in our family, having family dinners, going to church together, playing games, reading stories, celebrating birthdays by baking cakes, trimming the tree at Christmas, coloring Easter eggs, and enjoying time with family. Your child will always be treasured and loved.
