Room for One More
A New Program in Nepal and Ethiopia

Ethiopia and Nepal are two of the poorest countries in the world. Right now nearly 6 million children in these countries are orphans. Some of these children are sheltered in orphanages and foster homes, but a great majority are sleeping on the streets with no food, no shelter, no families, and no hope.
So how can we possibly help? One child at a time. But how will that solve the orphan problem? It won’t, but imagine the change in that one child’s life who is given the opportunity to be adopted. That child moves from a hopeless future to a future filled with love and promise. What a beautiful picture of what God did for us through His Son.

What is Room For One More?
Room For One More is a program created by Adoption Associates, Inc. and involves our adoption programs in Ethiopia and Nepal. The purpose of this program is to encourage families, individuals, and churches to help these children by:
- adopting a child or sibling group
- creating an Adoption Assistance Fund in your church
- sponsoring a child
- donating to orphanages
Adopting a Child:
James 1:27 calls us to care for the widows and orphans in their time of need. Whether you do or do not have children in your home, you may feel called to offer love and care to a child who desperately needs hope. If you have room in your heart and home for one more, call Adoption Associates, Inc. at 616.667.0921 and ask to speak with our Haiti and Ethiopia Program Manager, Kurt Ellis. He will guide you through the adoption process and answer any questions you may have. Adoption Assistance Fund:
Many families within your church may be considering adopting through Room For One More but may not have adequate funds. This is where the church can help these children by establishing a fund that can be set up as a donation to adoptive families or as a no-interest loan repaid through federal and state adoption tax credits. Adoption Associates, Inc. can help explain the set-up of this fund and how it can work for the families, the church, and especially, the children.
Sponsoring a Child:
A one time donation of $300 will support one child for an entire year. This gift will provide a little one with the every day things that we take for granted such as food, clothing, shelter, education, medication, toys, and books. 100% of your donation will go directly to the support of the child.
Donating to Orphanages:
The sad truth is that not all of these children will be adopted. They are innocent victims of poverty, disease, and the squalor of the third world. Their lives hold no hope or promise, but you can help make their lives better. By donating to an orphanage, you will be helping to save more children from the street by providing funds to shelter, clothe, and feed more helpless children. 100% of your donation will go directly to the support of the orphanage.
Child sponsorship and orphanage donations make great projects for Sunday school classes or youth groups. Six million children without families. You CAN help—one child at a time.
