Celebrating Adoption

November is National Adoption Awareness month.

These 30 days are a time for both Adoption Associates, Inc. and adoptive families to celebrate families formed by adoption. It is also a time to remember the children who still wait for their forever families and spread awareness so that these children will find permanent homes. This is a time to acknowledge the sense of hope that adoption brings, whether to a worried birth mother, a couple anxiously waiting to become parents, or a child needing the secure, supportive love that adoptive parents can provide.

Donation Opportunities

Are you wondering how you can help orphans living in third-world countries, or how to help birth parents right here in the U.S.? Find out about AAI’s commitments to helping orphans around the world through Our Call to Nepal and Embracing Ethiopia. With almost one million orphans in Nepal and 4.8 million in Ethiopia, funds are often low and donations for cribs, formula, bottles, and more are needed.

AAI is also committed to guiding women with unplanned pregnancies through the process of choosing adoption. With a new birth mother video that can help prospective birth mothers learn more and feel at ease, funds are being sought to share this video with visitors to AAI, pregnancy resource centers, and many others.

Does your heart go out to older orphans, many of whom are too often overlooked? Read on to learn more about Hosts of Hope, a program that connects older children around the world with host families, many of which result in permanent adoption placement. With a Hosts of Hope China Camp taking place in February of 2009, your support is needed!
